The Purex Alpha 400 features analog controls and welded stainless steel construction. Its HEPA filtration removes 99.997% of particles down to 0.3 microns and is compatible with a variety of easy-to-change filters, each designed for a different application.

The Alpha 400 can also be interfaced with external machinery by using an optional interface kit. An LED on the unit's face provides constant filter status for the operator (green = ok, yellow = nearly full, red = replacement needed). In addition, there is a visual and audible alarm to indicate that the filter has become blocked.
