Mitutoyo 511 Bore Gages - Standard Type

he Mitutoyo standard-type bore gages feature interchangeable anvils and spacers to take highly accurate diameter measurements of a wide range of bore hole sizes. Models are available with or without a Mitutoyo Dial Indicator. The Mitutoyo standard type bore gage is available in various ranges (metric/inch) to measure inside bore diameters with an accuracy to 2µ / 0.00008in. The bore gage comes with interchangeable anvils to measure various bore diameters with the same gage. A pendulum guide structure improves sliding the gage for measurements while a two-point contact system detects geometry anomalies such as oval-ness and taper.

Mitutoyo 511 Inside Diameter Bore Gages

The new carbide-ball contact point and anvil tip have increased abrasion resistance compared with the steel ball type and better surface roughness compared with the molded carbide-tip type. Thus, they almost never scratch a workpiece. This model reduces the influence of heat from the operator’s hand by 50% by increasing the grip size and making the grip hollow-structured, thereby retaining high-accuracy measurement. The plunger stroke of flagship models has expanded from 1.2mm to 1.6mm, still maintaining the stated accuracy. The measurement accuracy of new models has improved by 50% or more compared with their predecessors. Optional extension rods are available for measuring deep holes.

Mitutoyo Dial Indicator Series 2

The Mitutoyo inch reading dial indicator performs with excellent accuracy and reliability, and it is available in several graduations and ranges for use in the widest range of applications. The stem and spindle are constructed of hardened, high-strength steel, and the jeweled bearing provides wear resistance and low friction movements for smooth, precise operations. Secured adhesion between the frame and crystal, along with the use of an O-ring, protects the indicator against water and oil permeation via the front face. The crystal has a scratch and glare-resistant coating for clearer readings and better durability. The outer clamp and optional lifting lever can be attached to either side and can be easily installed or removed without the use of tools.
