Fluke's 9009 Dry-Well is equipped with two temperature blocks, each independently controlled. The hot block can reach temperatures between 50 C and 350 C, while the cold block ranges from -15 C to 110 C. These blocks are managed by precise temperature controllers from Hart Scientific, a leading company in the field.

Each temperature block contains two wells with removable inserts. Calibrate four probes at once, or two probes can be calibrated simultaneously with an external reference, such as Hart's Model 1521 LLK Thermometer. The two temperature wells can also be used to quickly obtain "zero" and "span" references for transmitter calibrations.

The 9009 Dry-Well is designed for both portability and durability, housed in a robust Pelican case that is both airtight and watertight. Despite its compact size and light weight of only 10 pounds, it can accommodate all necessary components, including a power cord and four additional inserts. Inserts are available to fit sensors of various sizes, ranging from 1/16" (1.6 mm) to 7/16" (11.1 mm), making this sturdy system highly versatile.

As expected from a Hart Scientific temperature source, the Model 9009 delivers high performance. The cold block is calibrated to within +/- 0.2 C with a stability of +/- 0.05 C, while the hot block's display is accurate to +/- 0.6 C with a stability of +/- 0.05 C. Each of the two test blocks includes a NIST-traceable calibration.

For integration with automated systems, Fluke's 9009 features an RS-232 connection, enabling temperature control and monitoring from your PC. For fully automated calibrations, the Model 9009 is compatible with Hart's MET/TEMP II software.
