Hexacon's Heavy Duty series of plug tip irons are the most rugged irons available for industrial soldering applications. They are specifically designed for continuous operation and fast heat recovery. The element outer case is machined from a solid piece of high-strength nickel-plated alloy steel and is practically indestructible. The hexagonal case shape allows iron to be held in a vise or gripped with a wrench for maintenance without damaging it. A front nut helps to secure the tip but also absorbs shock when iron is put in the holder, extending element life. Deflector assembly helps to provide a cool, comfortable handle that is well balanced and has good directionality. Dependable, rugged, and easy to maintain, the tip, element, cord, and handle of each HD Plug Tip Iron are independently replaceable.
