Switch Mode Power Characterization with Infiniium EXR

Powerful, intuitive to use and easy to own, Keysight’s Infiniium EXR Series oscilloscopes features multiple instruments integrated into a single platform for higher engineering productivity and ease of use. Now you can extend the power of the EXR with software options, a differential probe, and a deskew feature to more quickly and thoroughly characterize switch mode power supplies.

D9010PWRA Power Supply Analysis Software

The D9010PWRA’s broad range of automated power supply characterization measurements include critical frequency response measurements such as power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and control loop response (Bode plots). Multi-channel waveform mask testing for detailed analysis of supply system turn-on/turn-off testing of up to 8 power supply lines is also supported.

D9010LSSP Low Speed Protocol Decode/Trigger Software

Get your low-speed serial debug done faster and simpler with this software package that combines over 10 of the most popular interfaces.

  • Set up your scope to show specific protocol decoding in less than 30 seconds with an auto setup feature
  • Access a rich set of integrated protocol-level triggers
  • Save time and eliminate errors by viewing packets at the protocol level
  • Use time-correlated views to quickly troubleshoot serial protocol problems back to their timing

U1880A Deskew Feature

For accurate power measurements, it is extremely important to equalize the time delay between voltage and current probes. This deskew fixture allows you to drive your voltage and current probes with the same pulse signal. Probe deskew can then be performed with the power measurements application software manually on the oscilloscope.

  • Easy to use and connect for current and voltage probes
  • Directly connect to USB port from oscilloscope front panel, or any USB port from PC to power up the fixture

N2790A differential probe

Ideal for applications like motor speed controls, power supply designs, and electronic high-power converters, the N2790A allows you to safely measure high-voltage floating circuits with the oscilloscope grounded. You’ll have sufficient dynamic range and bandwidth to make the floating measurements found in high-speed power electronic circuits safely and accurately.

  • 100 MHz bandwidth
  • Switchable attenuation of 50:1 and 500:1
  • Maximum differential voltage input of 1400V (DC + peak AC)
